The class will be held two consecutive Saturdays on February 23rd & March 1st at the Midland Police Department Training Facility located
at
4214 FM 307 in Midland.
The class will run from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm both days. Refreshments will be provided.
There will be a one hour break for lunch each day.
The format of the class will be a review of all material in the question pool using a PowerPoint presentation. Study during the week
between the two classes is highly recommended to assure the best opportunity to pass the exam. Several group Technician tests will be given on screen made
up just like the actual exam to be administered. Finally, one or two written practice exams will be administered and reviewed before the actual test is administered.
At 2:00 pm on Saturday, March 1, the Midland VE Team will provide testing to the class participants.***
Upon successfully passing the test participants will be FCC licensed Technician Class Amateur Radio Operators. Callsigns can be expected to be issued by the FCC the
week following the second class.
The class fee is $40.00. This will cover the cost of the book, the exam fee, classroom materials, and refreshments. We will be using
the 1st edition of the
ARRL Ham Radio License Manual.
The manuals will be passed out at the beginning of the class. If you already have a manual or can borrow one the cost of the class is $20.00.
If you have any questions please call Alan at 432-559-3313.
